Style Points: What is a lifestyle service?

I recently received a note from a woman that had a few questions about lifestyling. I thought it would be a nice idea to share them here.

What are lifestyle services?

Lifestyle services are fairly new, but the ideas behind the services are not. Think of a lifestyle provider as one who has experience in a wide variety of areas. (My specialties are home and garden design and creative ventures. I partner with people who have expertise in food and event planning.) Generally, Lifestyle companies will provide project planning and project management for your activities for a fee. Since we specialize in home, garden and all the events that take place there, we allow you immediate access to products and services for these activities at a lower overall cost. For example, we provide access to trade lines that are normally available only through interior designers, contractors, or architects. We also work with a portfolio of artists and other professionals that are available for almost any reason your heart desires.

Are these services expensive?

They can be. But ours are not. I know some lifestyle providers charging upwards of $250 per hour for their services.

How do you work with clients?

Since our services are uniquely positioned, so are our projects. As an example, we have provided long-term client consultation for new home construction, event planning, and private art installation services. Each project is unique, but we have a process for executing the details that allow the process to run smoothly and quickly. We don't waste your time or money.

Who normally contracts with you?

Our clients are busy, professionals who don't want to waste time searching for products and service providers for their surroundings and events.
