Inspire me Thursday - Bold
Hi everyone -
You know I started to skip this week, because I just could not create something that seemed to link to this week's prompt - BOLD.
The image below is the first page of one of my really old moleskine journals. Now follow me here, because it does relate to the theme. Just probably not in the way you'd think.
So... maybe you've done this --- bought a new journal and felt this almost paralyzing fear to put something down on the first page. Like it has to be really good - the best, most inspiring image
Ever.
Random thoughts float through your head, like if it's not awesome, you might as well forget creating anything on the following pages.
So with that thought, I wondered if I had ever created something bold on the very first page. And you know - I really hadn't done it very often! I thumbed through each journal I have here on my desk and found that most of the journals had writing of some sort. Apparently I like to ease into things. But I did find this one from one of my bolder days... :-) accented with metallic ink no less.
Enjoy,
Lise

thanks leaving the comment on my blog, and I like your design as well.
Lise...
Now this BOLD little beauty just plain everyday makes me SMILE! I love it!!!!!!! BE BOLD it suits you!
I've had that experience with a journal-it was given to me for high school graduation. I think it was ten years before I did something with it!
Your piece is beautiful.
Lise, this is a lovely, bold image. And I'm exactly the same way about a journal or sketchbook. What if I ruin it? What if someone looks through it and thinks this is awful? And so on...
As for your beautiful and bold first page, I would be thrilled and full of anticipation if I picked up this journal and this was the first thing I saw!
You are totally right about needing to be bold on that first blank page. Great way to incorporate the prompt this week and make it work for you. I'm sure you must be pleased with your first page its very bright and creative.
This is lovely. The colors are fresh and lively.
Yes! This is wonderful, Lise! I bet finding it was like finding an old friend. To me this bold and beautiful flower is a brilliant invitation to journey boldly through life...it's bold, yet approachable...it doesn't mind if we touch it! It has unlimiting gifts that unfold..
And..I love the colors.
Thanks for sharing this beauty..this bold beauty with us!
Nive design! Very bold and cheerful! Cheers!
